Sam’s comments come on the heels of a new TMZ documentary titled Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom which came out on Monday, May 15.

Taking to his Instagram story Sam shared why he doesn’t like to speak on Britney’s behalf. “The last thing I want to do is speak on my wife’s behalf, I will never do that. I respect her privacy, that’s why I don’t talk as much,” he said.

He also took a dig at the people who have spoken on Britney’s behalf in the past.

“I found it absolutely disgusting for the people that were in her life at the time when she didn’t have a voice, they went and told her story like it was theirs,” he said.

The model also spoke about Britney’s infamous conservatorship briefly saying that people used her as a “money-making machine.” He further condemned those who are digging into the pop star’s life to get more details of her past and present.

He said, “How are you gonna take the most influential person of our generation, the princess of pop, America’s sweetheart, and put her in prison, where her father tells her what to do, what water to drink, who to see, and use her as a money-making machine.”

Finally, Sam urged fans not to believe everything they read online.

Britney’s father Jamie previously told the Daily Mail that his actions and the conservatorship were meant to save the singer during her difficult days.

“Not everybody’s going to agree with me,” Jamie said. “It’s been one hell of a time. But I love my daughter with all my heart and soul,” he told the outlet in 2022. Talking about the conservatorship effect on Britney’s finances he said, “‘The conservatorship allowed the finances to be better.”
