Nigerian Singer Tems has won her first Grammy Award.
WOTHAPPEN reports that Temilade Openiyi, a Nigerian singer, popularly known as Tems, has won her first Grammy Award, making her the first female Afrobeats artiste to do that.
This online news platform understands that Tems won the award at the ongoing ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the United States of America (USA) on Sunday, February 5, 2023.
The pre-Grammy brunch was held at a private residence in Bel-Air, Los Angeles.
In a related development, WOTHAPPEN reports that award-winning singer, Damini Ogbulu, known better as Burna Boy lost two nominations.
Burna Boy lost the ‘Best Global Music Album’ and the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ categories.
