Breaking! Goodluck Jonathan distances self from APC’s 2023 presidential race, rejects group’s form purchase

Former President GEJ has distanced himself from news making the rounds that he has officially dumped PDP to join APC’s 2023 presidential race.

It was earlier reported that after months of hide and seek, former President Goodluck Jonathan finally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2023 presidential race.

According to a tweet by presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, Jonathan is seeking to return to office in next year’s election after switching political party. 

A Northern supporters’ group is reported to have bought the nomination form on his behalf on Monday, continuing the trend of aspirants using proxies to purchase the form.

However, Reno Omokri the former spokesman of Jonathan, the ex President has nothing to do with the viral report.

“Former President Jonathan has nothing to do with the reported purchase of some forms. He has an official spokesman and his own staff. He is a man of honour and will not do anything surreptitiously. The media and the public should be guided,” Reno Omokri wrote on his verified Instagram page
