Belle Knox is an American actress appearing in pornographic films. Before leaving the adult entertainment scene, she was among the biggest names in porn. Unlike many pornstars, Belle didn’t start her porn career for fun, but basically for the money. Read her story below.
Belle Knox Bio
Belle Knox was born Miriam Weeks on June 9, 1995. She goes by her stage name “Belle Knox”. She chose the name “Belle” from Beauty and the Beast and the character from Secret Diary of a Call Girl(which means beautiful in French) while she chose “Knox” by Amanda Knox, who was released in the murder of Meredith Kercher (a British student on exchange with the University of Leeds who died in November 2007 in Perugia, Italy, in a young was found dead at the age of 21). Belle Knox is half Canadian and half Punjabi. She spent her childhood in Spokane, Washington, where she grew up a Catholic. She attended Gonzaga Preparatory School. As a young girl, she appeared in a Catholic Christian magazine , Salt and Light , and also in the Newsletter for Catholic Charities, thanks to her volunteer service.
How she made it through law school
The hardworking pornstar developed an interest in the adult entertainment industry as a child. According to her, she started watching porn at the age of 12 out of curiosity. At the time she was going through puberty and had sexual urges which, like other children, she tried to suppress. When her ability to suppress failed, she looked at pornography. Knowing her parents would not approve, she hid it from them.
She has been in the explicit industry since 2013 for many reasons. First of all, she raised money to pay tuition fees of $60,000 a year at a top-ranking university (Duke University). Second, she did it because she liked sex and pornography.
Her fame came in 2014 when she became a helpless little girl to become one of the most famous new pornstars after her true identity was revealed. This was the aftermath of her revelation to a schoolmate who starred her in adult films. During school vacations, she flew to Los Angeles, Phoenix, and New York to have sex with people on camera.
Aside from paying her school bills, pornography allowed her to keep her busy schedule. Before entering the pornography industry, she worked as a waitress, a job many considered more decent than pornography, but her boss treated her very badly, and the busy schedule severely hampered her studies at Duke University. Needless to say, her salary was not up to 1% of her tuition.
She had attempted to apply for government bonds but was told she was ineligible. She didn’t want to apply for personal student loans because she didn’t want to tie his family up with debt.
Basically, she acted in violent scenes, claiming that she was aroused by pain. In one of her sex scenes on the controversial website Facial Abuse, she was repeatedly spat on, choked, physically abused, gagged and violently held.
All has not been smooth for Knox in the industry due to the condemnation and stigma that comes with working in the porn industry. She had received multiple rape and death threats. But Knox has no regrets about her decision. She is currently outside of the sex business circle to pursue her education and she has always defended her decision. She believes her past experiences highlight the rising cost of higher education in the United States.
The former film actress has also spoken explicitly about her stance on feminism and sex worker rights. She believes adults should be allowed to make choices about what goes on in their bodies. She calls herself a sex-positive feminist. She received a Fanny Award in 2014 and an XBIZ Award in 2015 for her efforts in this area.
In early 2015, Knox announced that she was no longer in the industry. She began a career in women’s studies and sociology. She has also expressed interest in becoming a women’s rights activist and civil rights attorney. She is currently continuing her education at New York Law School
Her parents’ reaction
As you can imagine, Knox’s parents Kevin and Harcharan were surprised when they found out about Knox’s involvement in the porn industry. But they eventually backed her decision, despite the injury that came with it. According to Knox, the duo have shown her nothing but love and support.
