August Alsina‘s fans are really confused after watching a clip from his VH1 show, The Surreal Life, where he’s seen introducing the ‘person he loves.’
The singer has wowed his fans with his music and charms for a decade now. Some of his most popular tracks – No Love, Ghetto, Song Cry – are still on his fans’ playlists.
Like most famous personalities, August’s personal life has been in the media spotlight. The 30-year-old singer left his fans guessing after the latest episode of VH1’s The Surreal Life.
AUGUST ALSINA INTRODUCES “PERSON HE LOVES” IN THE SURREAL LIFE
A viral clip from The Surreal Life sees August introducing a special person in the end credits clip.
“Love showed up, but in a new way,” the Benediction singer says.
“I want to share that and really honor the person that I love and loves me back and is teaching me so much about love and healing.”
He continues to say how he wants to embrace the person he loves in front of the world and defy all of the social constructs about what love is supposed to look like.
Then, a man walks in and sits next to him as happy music plays in the background.
“I love you,” August says to the guy as they shake hands and embrace each other.
The clip left many fans confused about who the person August introduced was and how he is connected to him. While some thought that it was August’s boyfriend, others feel the man in question could be his brother or nephew.
WOTHAPPEN Media have reached out to August’s representative for clarification on the above. We are yet to receive a response at the time of writing.
THE GUY FROM AUGUST’S SHOW IS A MUSICIAN
August tagged the mystery man in an Instagram post from September 17. The post is now pinned on his page.
“ZaZa first performance last night. DC popped the cherry, it was loveeeeee. Thank y’all so much,” he wrote, tagging @iamlazu_.
The mystery man from August’s viral clip is Instagram user @iamlazu_. He is an up-and-coming musician who released his first single – 2 AM – featuring August back in September.
He also collaborated with August on the singer’s track Yeah Yeah, which came out in July.
The budding musician has close to 23,000 followers on Instagram.

Fans are confused about how August and the guy who they saw him embrace are related besides being musical collaborators. The New Orleans singer introducing him as the ‘person I love” has left many fans guessing if he’s his boyfriend, nephew, cousin or just a friend.
“August Alsina brother/boyfriend/nephew/cousin fine as hell, idk,” one fan said.
“Am I the only one who thinks August Alsina didn’t really say anything definitive?,” another person noted.
“It looks to me like he adopted his nephew or something,” wrote another
