Attempted Suicide: Five Popular Nigerian Celebrities Who Almost Took Their Own Life

For some of your favourite celebrities, life may not be good for them life you on the outside may think, some of your favourite celebrities may be in financial ruins but we don’t really know, Well, even if their lives are problem-free at the moment, there were times when they were really having it rough.

Below are the names of five Nigerian celebrities, who battled depression, and came close to committing suicide, but luckily or unluckily enough, they never succeeded.

Toke Makinwa: Popular TV host and radio personality Toke Makinwa, revealed that she contemplated suicide because of her failed marriage. She felt a very strong urge to put an end to the torture by poisoning herself. But thankfully, she didn’t do it.

Julius Agwu: Nigerian actor and comedian Julius Agwu once revealed that he nearly committed suicide. According to him, he was battling with three tumors in his brain, and so he decided to end his pain instead, but thankfully, through a miracle, he survived

John Okafor(Mr. Ibu): Nollywood actor John Okafor disclosed in an interview, that he used to be very poor and even came close to committing suicide. He said he was thrown out of the house by his friend, who he had been struggling with, and had nothing to eat for three days. The urge to take his life and end the agony was strong, but in the end, he overcame.

Adunni Ade: Nigerian actress Adunni Ade once revealed that she had felt so bad after leaving the father of her kids, that she was so close to taking her life. But luckily, it never happened.

Tee Billz: Tee Billz attempted to take his life at the Ikoyi-Lekki bridge in Lagos, following the controversial separation from his wife Tiwa Savage. But thankfully, no such thing happened at last.
