There’s almost no Nigerian who would say he hasn’t heard of the name Aisha Yesufu.
Aisha Yesufu is a popular Nigerian social-political activist who became known after she helped in the rescue of some kidnapped Chibok girls who were abducted by the Boko Haram insurgency.
The co-convener of the ‘Bring Back Our Girls Movements’, Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to the tweet made by the popular musician, Davido after he claimed that $3 million (1.2 billion naira) is small money for him.
Recall that earlier yesterday, Davido could be seen trending on various social media platforms when he claimed that that 3 million US dollars, which is equivalent to 1.2 billion Naira was not such a huge amount. Davido claimed that he would spend the huge sum of money on just icebox shoppings.
It all started when Davido told his fellow musician that instead of signing an endorsement, he should rather work hard and strive to own parts of the companies.
After that, a fan replied Davido’s tweet as he said:
“Davido just said f._v-ck endorsement deal because he doesn’t get proper offers from proper companies. Who would say no to a UBA deal worth $3 million?”
After that, Davido replied him back by saying:
“3 million dollars? Lmao. Something wey go finish now now Cc @icebox.” Insinuating that he would spend that amount on icebox shoppings”
What Davido said got lots of people’s eyebrows lifted. Lots of people commented and reacted to his tweet.
Gimba Kakanda, a popular Nigerian fiction writer and poet also commented on the tweet as he wrote in reply to it that:
“3 million dollars is a lot of money even for Dangote. The richest Blackman on the planet would sense any debit of that size. That’s about 1.4 billion naira in the parallel market today.”
Then, when Aisha Yesufu saw this, she voices out at Davido explaining to him that people yse their money differently, as she compares Artistes Davido’s money to Billionaire Dangote’s money. She wrote:
“Business people and artistes are on a different levels my brotherTo. Dangote go think of how to make the money work for him while David will think of how to spend the money.”
